Nikita Fitenko and Katerina Zaitseva have been playing as a duo since 2001. “Superlative sound, interpretation and pianism,” European Piano Teachers Journal. “Their music breathed without extravagance,” L’est Republican, France.
Dr. Fitenko is on the faculty of Catholic University of America, co-directs Washington International Piano Festival and directs the Louisiana International Piano Competition. Ms. Zaitseva holds her Masters of Music from the Southern Methodist University and has a Bachelors of Music from the University of North Texas. The duo’s wide and diverse repertoire includes works of different styles, from classical to 20th Century.
Their critically acclaimed CD featuring works for piano four hands by Schumann and Brahms is available through Amazon. Their selection will include solo music by Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff and duet music by Brahms, Barber and Rosenblatt.

Jason Love earned degrees in cello and conducting from the Peabody Conservatory and is conductor of the Columbia Symphony. “Love has the musicians playing not only with verve and passion, but with an awareness to enter into the emotional core of the works they perform.” Baltimore Sun. As music director for the New Horizons Chamber Ensemble, Love gave dozens of local and world premieres.
Violinist Brenda Anna studied at the Peabody Conservatory with Yong Ku Ahn, Charles Libove and David Greber of the American String Quartet. She is concertmistress of the Columbia Symphony, a member of the National Philharmonic, and has performed as soloist with Annapolis and Mid-Atlantic symphonies.

Seth Kibel, Polish clarinetist, flutist and saxophonist, is one of the Mid-Atlantics’s premier woodwind specialists and winner of 17 “Wammies” (Washington Area Music Awards).
Bob Abbott, German/Scottish bassist, has been an anchor in the Bay Jazz Project, a Wammie nominated jazz group.
They have earned renown for playing diverse musical styles including classical, Latin American (music by Piazzolla, Tangos, Milongas, Bossa-Novas), Klezmer music (Bulgars, Freilakhs, Yiddish songs), and holiday music as well as original compositions.

Flutist Jennifer Rundlett earned her Masters degree from Peabody Conservatory under Tim Day and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in England with the famous flute pedagogist Trevor Wye. She is on the faculty of the Frederick Community College and Mount St. Mary’s University. She will play music by Amy Beach, Cecil Chaminade and “Castle in the Mist” by Phyllis Avida Louke, using the C flute, the alto flute and the piccolo. Her flute is a Powell gold flute with a platinum riser.
Pianist Li-Ly Chang is Director of the International Young Artist Piano Competition and commissioned composer in 2011 of the Maryland State Music Teachers Association.
Cellist Laurien Laufman was hailed by the New York Times as “an artist to watch with a fine blend of technical skill and interpretive insight.” She was silver medalist at Villa Lobos International Competition in 1976 and taught at the University of Illinois. She will play “The Suite Populaire Espanole” by Manuel de Falla, then Martinu’s “Trio” and Li-Ly Chang’s “Fantasia” both for flute, cello and piano.
